For: gaseous pollution, tobacco smoke, odors, and general indoor pollution (in residential, commercial, or medical environments).
Easy to setup. Simply plug it in and turn it on.
We love the maintenance free design. The air purifier tells us when it’s time to replace the filters.
We like the automatic timer that when enabled, turns the purifier on and off during specific times during the day and specific days of the week.
Very quiet on low fan settings and suitable for use in bedrooms during the night. Higher fan settings create noise levels similar to a typical floor fan and we find these speeds more suitable for day use.
We like that each individual purifier is tested before it leaves the factory and that the hand written “certificate of performance” is included in the box.
The unit is heavy, but with the optional casters we find it easy to move around on hard floor surfaces (but find it a little difficult on carpet).
The remote control is convenient and simple to use.

The GC Series is the world’s most effective compact room air purifier for the control of gaseous chemicals. Just like a professional gas mask, the GC Series relies on an interchangeable cartridge design for optimized gaseous pollutant control. And while molecular control is a particular strength of this system, the GC Series also offers excellent filtration efficiency for particles. Color: Light gray body, blue arms.
 
Thanks to its selectable cartridges, the IQAir® GC series is able to meet almost any moderate gas phase removal need in residential or commercial environments. Currently there are four specialized gas phase media configurations available:

GC MultiGas - For control of a wide range of gaseous organic and inorganic chemicals. The best choice for tobacco smoke and odor control. The most popular series for individuals with multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS).

GC VOC - For control of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) including solvents.

GC Chemisorber - For control of formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide, nitric oxide, and sulfur dioxide.

GC AM - For control of ammonia and ammonia compounds.
