We’ve been cleaning with vinegar and baking soda for years but have never made the time to sit down and research effective formulas. The recipes in the kit are much more effective than our “try it and see approach” and the kit makes it easy to create safe and economical cleaning products at home.

While we prefer to use natural fibers whenever possible, we must admit that the microfiber cleaning cloth does a much better job of cleaning than a cotton cloth. Use wet or damp to clean just about anything. When dry, the natural static cling makes it ideal for dusting and buffing (even stainless steel).
The scrub is excellent for sinks, baths, counters etc. but because the scrub tends to be crumbly it can fall to the floor when used on vertical surfaces e.g. cupboard doors, walls, etc. Either water down the scrub on a sponge or place a cloth on the floor to catch any loose scrub that falls. The scrub may dry out over time so simply add a splash of water or vinegar as needed.
For floors, you can use an equal mix of all purpose cleaner and water. For wood floors, the wood polish can be used. Alternatively, we like to use a vinegar/water mix in our mop bucket and then spray all purpose cleaner (or wood polish for wood floors) as we go. That way we can replace the vinegar/water in the mop bucket as many times as needed.
The essential oil used in these products is very fragrant. If you’re sensitive to fragrances this kit may not be appropriate for you. Or you can use a smaller quantity of essential oil in each product (but it may affect its cleaning ability).
We would prefer two microfiber cloths to be included to in the kit instead of one. One for general purpose cleaning and one for wood (since the wood cleaner contains olive oil). Or so that we be can using one cloth while the other is in the wash. We’d also like to see a more durable brush be included in the kit.
