Clothesline lengths of up to 75 ft. of drying area. The silent action ball bearings are permanently lubricated to allow the pulley to be free spinning. This pulley is great for all climates and performs well in salt air areas.

There are three types of pulleys. (1) Regular Zinc is the zinc-plated rivet economy model. (2) Ball Bearings which consist of two permanently lubricated ball bearings in each wheel. This is the smoothest and longest spinning pulley. (3) Nylon Bearings consists of two nylon bushing in each wheel to assist in the spinning of the pulley.

Pulley Clothesline Benefits vs. Retractable Clothesline:

A pulley clothesline makes it easier to hang washing. There’s no need to walk up and down the clothesline and the laundry basket can be left in one spot.
A pulley clothesline will allow clothes to dry more quickly due to the more open area and greater exposure to sun and wind.
A pulley clothesline can be longer and stronger. Good for large heavy bed sheets (a retractable clothesline will break under heavy loads).
A pulley clothesline can have the opposite pulley setup at a high spot to put washing out of reach from children, pets etc.

Clothesline Installation Instructions

1. Choose two parallel points that will provide enough space to hang your clothes. Try to pick a spot that is relatively flat.

2. When mounting the opposing pulley make sure it is approximately two feet higher than the top of the pulley. This will reduce the amount of sag.

3. Screw holding hooks until secure. You can use just the hook with your Solar Drying Pulley or attach it to a Solar Dryer Turnbuckle which will allow you to tighten the line when it starts to sag. (Sag will occur naturally as the line stretches with the extra weight of the clothes.)

4. Attach a wire (threw the lower eye hole) to secure the pulley. This will prevent it from twisting.

5. After installing the clothesline wire, tighten the line with a Solar Drying Tightener.

6. The Divider will keep the line from sagging when wet clothes are on the line.

7. Insert clothes pin into locking hole to stop the line from moving once clothes are hanging. This is an extra precaution in high winds to help prevent the clothes from moving and being damaged.
