Sierra is a robust, balanced and peppery oil, ideal for pasta, soups, red meat and casseroles. Comes in a 375 ml dark glass bottle.
 
 The 2006 Sierra maintains our tradition of making a classic "California" olive oil. It is made primarily from Mission olives, with Picholine and Ascolano added for softening and complexity. The Mission is a standard variety for California, and has been growing on our mountain estate for many years (our youngest trees are 24 years old, and our oldest are somewhere over 100).
 
In this year as in previous years, our two distinct blends, the Mistral and Sierra were analyzed at 0.2% -0.3% free fatty acid (far less than the 1% limit for Extra Virgin status). Both earned the Californian Olive Oil Council’s certification as Extra Virgin. Our olive oils are certified organic by the California Certified Organic Farmers Association and contain estate grown, hand picked, stone pressed olive oil. Every year since the first commercial production in 2001 they have been recognized at the L.A. County Fair as outstanding oils with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
