Did you know your body can absorb more chlorine in a ten minute shower than from drinking the same water all day and that chlorine has been linked to numerous health issues? The Showerwise shower filter reduces the inhalation of chemical vapors and absorption of chemicals through the skin! Showerwise reduces chlorine by 95% and converts it to a harmless chloride. Showerwise also reduces or removes combined chlorine, hydrogen sulfide (sulfur), mercury, sediment, iron oxide, fungus, mildew, odor and more. It also prohibits bacterial growth.
Showerwise has 10 to 20 times the life and effectiveness of any carbon-only filter and contains over 50% more filtering material for a longer effective lifetime than most other filters. While a carbon filter works well in cold water only, the patented KDF and Chlorgon material used in Showerwise performs best in warm or hot water.
Showerwise installs easily by hand in just a few minutes and the filter cartridge lasts for 15,000 gallons or 12-18 months (depending on your water quality and frequency of use) and can be easily replaced. The Showerwise shower filter also includes a multi-jet massage head with adjustments for full body spray, massage, or spray/massage.
Our Two Cents
Easy to install, no maintenance, simple, and effective.The showerhead provides good water pressure and has multiple adjustable spray patterns. However, we've noticed that over time the showerhead wears out and needs to be replaced.
We’ve become so used to our filtered showers that we can identify non-filtered water simply by the smell. It also feels markedly different on the skin. Once considered a luxury, our shower filter has become a prime factor in maintaining our optimum health by minimizing chlorine absorption through our skin and more importantly our lungs.
Note that this is the new deluxe model which provides better performance (especially during the last months of service life) and does not require any maintenance (the older model required that the filter be reversed periodically).

Installation
- Remove your existing showerhead from the shower arm.
- Turn shower water on to flush out foreign particles. Turn off water.
- Attach showerhead to male threaded end of the Showerwise filter by hand tightening. Avoid cross threading when starting threads. Do not overtighten.
- Attach Showerwise filter to showerarm by hand tightening. Avoid cross threading when starting threads. Do not overtighten.
- Add Teflon tape to male threads if leaks occur.
